Smartex No-See-Um Screening is a specialized 20x20 fine mesh PVC-coated fiberglass screen designed specifically to block the smallest flying insects that standard 18x16 mesh cannot stop. Also known as "tiny mesh" or "20x20 mesh screen," this ultra-tight weave prevents no-see-ums, gnats, sand flies, and other microscopic flying insects common in low marshy and coastal environments from passing through, while still maintaining great airflow and good outward visibility. With a 0.013" wire diameter and 215g/m² fabric weight, it is also suitable for patio, porch, and pool enclosures that require both fine insect protection and structural strength. Available in rolls from 36" to 132" wide at 100 feet long for efficient B2B wholesale and project supply.

Standard residential insect screen mesh — typically an 18×16 configuration — provides reliable protection against mosquitoes, flies, and most common household insects. However, in coastal regions, low-lying marshy areas, and lakefront properties, a more specialized threat exists: no-see-ums, gnats, and sand flies. These microscopic flying insects are small enough to pass straight through a standard 18×16 mesh opening, making standard screen completely ineffective against them. The No-See-Um Screening addresses this gap directly.
Woven to a 20×20 mesh count using a 0.013″ / 0.33mm wire diameter and finished with a durable PVC coating, this ultra-tight fiberglass mesh creates openings too small for no-see-ums, gnats, sand flies, and similar tiny insects to penetrate. At the same time, the carefully engineered weave structure maintains great airflow and good outward visibility, so screened spaces remain comfortable and well-ventilated without the stuffiness that a denser barrier material would cause.
For B2B buyers, the heavier 215g/m² fabric weight makes this mesh significantly stronger than standard residential fiberglass, making it equally well-suited for patio enclosures, screened-in porches, and pool enclosures where both fine insect filtering and structural durability are required. The wide roll format — up to 132″ wide and 100 feet long — minimizes seam requirements in large enclosure installations and supports efficient high-volume project supply.
The 20x20 mesh count creates significantly smaller openings than standard 18x16 residential mesh. This ultra-tight weave is specifically engineered to prevent the smallest flying insects — no-see-ums, gnats, and sand flies — from passing through. For distributors and contractors supplying coastal, marshy, or lakefront markets, this product directly solves the insect protection problem that standard mesh simply cannot address.
Benefits:
20×20 mesh count creates openings too small for no-see-ums and gnats
Blocks sand flies and other tiny insects common in coastal areas
Ultra-tight weave provides protection standard 18×16 mesh cannot offer
Essential product for coastal and marshy area project supply
Despite its finer mesh count, this screen does not sacrifice structural performance or comfort. The 0.013" wire diameter and 215g/m² weight make it genuinely strong enough for patio enclosures, pool cages, and porches. The charcoal color and carefully engineered mesh geometry maintain great natural airflow and good outward visibility, ensuring screened spaces remain comfortable and well-lit even with the finer protection in place.
Benefits:
Heavy 215g/m² weight provides patio and pool enclosure strength
Maintains great natural airflow through the finer mesh
Charcoal finish ensures good outward visibility and reduced glare
